I Broke The Screen! Broken LCD LED TV Screen

Broken LCD TV

We average around 5 phone calls a day about broken screens. Some people break their TVs while moving them, some have kids that throw something at the screen and break it, and some have fights where somebody intentionally breaks the TV screen. Unfortunately, we've never seen one worth repairing. The screen can't be repaired. Technically, it can be replaced.

White Dots On My TV's Picture

White dots cover the picture

White dots on DLP type TVs is a common problem. These TVs make the picture with a small chip made up of millions of tiny mirrors. Each one of those mirrors is like a pixel or dot on the screen. When the chip starts to fail, mirrors get stuck in the on or off position causing white dots or black dots. Most of the time they are white.

Fast and honest TV repair

No matter how many times it happens, I'm still surprised by how some TV repair shops in San Antonio operate. We had a customer come in on Friday with a 40" Samsung LCD. The TV had sound, but not picture. We called him about 30 minutes later to let him know it was ready and the repair was under $130. He said he lived far so that he would turn around and come back for it immediately.

Generic TV Lamps Sold As "Originals"

OSRAM TV Lamp

We've been seeing this more and more recently. A customer will bring a Mitsubishi DLP TV into the shop or have us go out to check their DLP TV in their home. We find the problem is they are using a generic lamp. We install a new ORIGINAL OSRAM lamp and the picture is just like new.
